What is Feng Shui
Feng Shui is the study of how the environment affects those who dwell in it. It literally means 'wind and water.' The word Feng Shui is normally pronounced as Foong (wind) Shway (water). It is a practice of arranging furniture and other elements in such a way as to achieve the greatest harmony and balance with the natural elements and forces of earth.

As per Feng Shui, there are three components on which universe is made of. Every living being, every plant and every object is supposed to represent one of the three. These are the Yin, Yang and Chi. Yang is male in nature where as Yin is female in nature. Basically Yin and Yang are two forces which are responsible in creation and sustenance of all living and non-living objects on earth.

Chi is the force which is produced due to the interaction of Yin and Yang. The understanding of Yin, Yang and Chi is essential to understand the concept of Feng Shui where Yin and Yang are in balance, Chi is also balanced. Chi is carried and scattered by the wind and retained by water. That was how the term Feng Shui was derived.

Feng Shui deals with positioning objects in buildings and other places in definite patterns to allow the vital forces of Yin and Yang inherent in all things, the positive and negative Chi or energy, flow smoothly. The movement of Chi or natural energy through our environment in the home or workplace affects every aspect of our lives. It is a complex scientific calculation, rather than a metaphysical reading relying on inspiration or intuition.

What Feng Shui is not
Feng Shui is not related to any religion or belief system. It is a scientific discipline based on the analysis of energy. Some Feng Shui "masters" claim to have learnt Feng Shui from a Buddhist monk. This is not creditable. A real Buddhist is prohibited to practice Feng Shui and all kinds of fortune telling. To claim that there is a more powerful transcendental part of Feng Shui is nothing more than deceitful marketing.

How can Feng Shui help everyone
Feng Shui can help you determine the best home to live in, which colours can help enhance your home, the best bed positions for deep sleep and how to change your business or home into a center of power. Feng Shui can help improve your health, your relationships and your prosperity.

We live in a planet that is filled with different energies. Our planet rotates on its axis, creating cycles of day and night. The earth also revolves around the Sun in yearly cycles and is subjected to various gravitational and magnetic fields. Our solar system is moving through space and is also subject to other forces in the Universe. These physical forces and many different time cycles affect us profoundly.

Feng Shui can determine the best or most favorable location for anyone and assist that person to avoid his worst or least desirable location in any environment. This environment can be at the office, home, or any place that they are at. Every building has unique energy characteristics that need to be individually addressed, so be wary of practitioners who offer fixed or occult "cures". Their prescribed remedies may actually do more harm than good. Contact Dhren Nishar for reliable, accurate and personalised Feng Shui tips.

Good Feng Shui does not bring you wealth if you do not go for it but it should give you the necessary urge to seek fame and fortune.

Is Feng Shui only applicable to houses?
Feng Shui can be applied to analyze the energy (Chi) of a room, houe, office, factory, city, state, country or even the world.

Can Feng Shui save a broken marriage or a business from bankruptcy?
Yes and no. If the form and stars are all but a mess, no matter what is done with the intention to cure, it will be a futile effort. Some places are just beyond our capability to correct. The only solution is to move to a suitable place. If we can turn a place into one that is in harmony, full of energy and love, the intended results can be expected.

How are the basic principles applied?
Feng Shui is based upon a set of theories and complex calculations derived from the Yi Jing. This includes an in-depth understanding and application of the theories of Yin and Yang, along with the balancing of the Five Elements (Fire, Earth, Metal, Water, and Wood) and taking into account the physical relationship between the natural environment and the magnetic field.

Feng Shui for a happy living
As per Feng Shui, not only the landscape should liberate good Chi but the building should be such that the Chi moves continuously towards the various directions in the building. The characteristics of Chi in every direction is different and can give you a particular gift which is necessary for the enrichment of life. Thus family, happiness, relationship, name, fame, children etc. are all possible when good Chi circulates in a related direction.
